Purpose of this committee:
The Standards Committee is TAS' most important committee. It is permanent and may not be terminated by the Board. It consists of five members who are in good standing with TAS. The Standards committee is totally responsible for the development of TAS angelfish naming standards. Its proposed standards may be adopted or rejected by TAS' Board of Directors, but may not be modified by the Board.

Purpose of this committee:
 The Presentation Committee will organize presentations for scheduled Members Meetings. It is formed with the intent to provide educational and information presentations for all scheduled meetings for members in keeping with the organization’s mission statement. The presentations will be archived on the TAS website. The importance of providing the presentations as a members benefit encompasses the focus and purpose and interests of the majority of all of the currently existing standing committees. This committee will also network with other organizations to develop additional resources and enhance the variety of presentations available.

The President shall hold the position of Chair

 The Committee Status will be standing.

Purpose of this committee:

Dedicated to providing fun and fair contests that invite participation from all TAS members with the purpose of presenting the best possible Angelfish photos of representative phenotypes in an effort to create a library of exemplary phenotypes as defined by TAS standards and award the winners with a certificate of achievement.

Purpose of this committee:

FinTastic, the official TAS newsletter, is a quarterly electronic publication with four issues annually. It is available to TAS members only.

All announcements, suggestions, article submissions or ads for inclusion should be emailed  to TAS Newsletter Committee.

Purpose of this committee:

Continued development and updating of a professional website to represent TAS; provide a resource for the members and prospective members about angelfish. Freshening and evaluating the web site is an ongoing process to maintain value to members & access to current club information and give a positive impression of TAS as an organization. 

The TAS Web Team invites all members to contact us with their suggestions/ ideas or corrections as needed.

Purpose of this committee:

Primary purpose is to revise bylaws to conform to requirements to obtain IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit status. Secondary purposes are to make the changes to reflect the decision to renew dues on a member's anniversary month, instead of January 1, and to create stronger safeguards for the treasury. Tertiary purposes are to recommend additional changes that committee members think are important to improve the bylaws.
